Description: This piece is 7th and final painting of the 7 days of Sailing collection!Sailors delight gets its name from the old saying, 'Red Sky at Night, Sailor's Delight'I wanted the last piece of the collection to have the explosive powerful sky and what a great colour to work with other than red to elevate the drama, the title was a beautiful happenstance. The level of drama to match the power of the sea.
 
This collection is inspired by my stepdad Peter Georgiou, a born sailor who snuck off with ships from a very young age in Greece. He now finds himself in Canada missing the water, talking about his adventures sailing across the sea. You can see the longing love in his eye when he speaks of sailing and I wanted to create a collection that can bring the feeling of being at sea into homes. Hopefully some of this collection reaches the aspiring seaman or the sailor with a heart lost to the sea.
