Description: This piece is 3/7 of the 7 days of Sailing campaign, a never seen before original. The ship in inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean and the fog on the water was inspired by the art style in the animated version of Hercules. I wanted to have fun with this piece and root it deep into a fantasy feeling, filled with the promise of adventure with dramatic effect. Are the crew on board pirates? Who is to say, but they all sail under the same moonlight.
 
This collection is inspired by my stepdad Peter Georgiou, a born sailor who snuck off with ships from a very young age in Greece. He now finds himself in Canada missing the water, talking about his adventures sailing across the sea. You can see the longing love in his eye when he speaks of sailing and I wanted to create a collection that can bring the feeling of being at sea into homes. Hopefully some of this collection reaches the aspiring seaman or the sailor with a heart lost to the sea.
